I am delighted to announce the release of my second book of photography, this time in Paris. "Somewhere in Paris: the City of Light in Black and White" is an 80-page collection of black and white images, through which I have tried to capture everyday life in this city. In this photo book, you will find images from a variety of perspectives and throughout the different seasons, images of familiar and iconic places along with others taken in out of the way corners where average Parisians go about their daily lives.
Paris lends itself so naturally to black and white photography. So many of our impressions of Paris, even for those who have never visited, are formed through the black and white imagery of some of the master photographers of our time. This is my own humble contribution to that tradition. I hope that in discovering these photographs you will discover the "City of Light" from a different perspective, and see it as I do in my daily interactions.
You can browse the pages of the book in the preview box below, and you can purchase the book either in hardcover ($47.95 US) or softcover ($37.95 US) format through Blurb. (Note that the Blurb preview below shows a fair amount of grain in the cover page due to the small size of the thumbnail. This grain does not show up like this in print). I would love to receive your feedback, either on the Blurb comment page or in my own comment box below. I hope you enjoy it.
