We are looking for talented and outgoing Paris-based photographers to help deliver our educational, guiding and portrait photography services.
Through photography instruction and guiding, Better Paris Photos helps visitors to Paris improve their photography while discovering this great city. Our focus is on achieving photographic vision more than pure technical mastery, and on getting it right in the box rather than through extensive post-processing.
Our photographers love to share their advanced knowledge of photography and their passion for Paris. They are also skilled at getting great portrait photographs using iconic Parisian backdrops.
Responsibilities (some or all of the following):
- deliver a proven program of photography instruction and guiding to visitors to Paris;
- deliver destination portrait photography services;
- contribute local knowledge and information to educational products derived from our core services.
Essential Requirements:
- clear grasp of the creative process and what makes a compelling image;
- demonstrated competence in photography, with an emphasis on getting it right in-camera;
- possess an existing portfolio of compelling images of Paris or evidence of capacity to generate one quickly;
- some experience in teaching/training/education or evidence of capacity to convey difficult concepts clearly;
- excellent command of English and ability to communicate in French;
- demonstrated open-mindedness and cultural sensitivity;
- clear-spoken and well-mannered, enthusiastic and outgoing personality;
- legal status to work in France as an independent contractor; and,
- willingness to learn and implement our program and to grow with us.
