Get ready for another big photography event in Paris!
Housed in the prestigious Carousel du Louvre from 19 to 22 November, 2009, 'Paris Photo' is one of the largest photography exhibits in town. Through exhibitions, conferences and signing ceremonies, each year this event profiles photographers from a different foreign country or region. The special "guest of honour" for Paris Photo 2009 is the Arab countries and Iran, and features the work of over 500 photographers representing twenty-three countries.

Until 11 October, 2009 the Eiffel Tower is dressed in red and white at night to celebrate the cultural events of 'Seasons of Turkey' taking place in Paris until Spring 2010. This is a rare occasion to see -- and photograph -- the tower in a different light, so to speak, and enjoy this change for a few days. If you are in town, get your tripod out and start clicking from 8:00 pm to dawn.

The Paris 'Salon de la Photo' opens its doors again from 15 and 19 October, 2009. This big photography trade show provides an excellent opportunity for photo lovers to see what's new in the photography world, check out new cameras, printers, editing software, and discover other new ideas, services and technologies. The five days of the Salon offer plenty of time to browse exhibit stands, attend presentations, meet renowned photographers, ask question, among other events. On 3 October, 2009, as part of the annual 'Nuit Blanche' celebration in Paris, photographer Chantal Stoman will present her collection of photos called 'Lost Highways'.
Taken from a car traveling on a highway through Tokyo, her images present slices of lives caught at the speed of light, with each window offering an opening into the Japanese life for a fraction of a second before moving on to the next one. Those pieces of lives and stolen moments give us an unusual and intimate access into the life of the city.

Photoquai is a biennial photo festival based in Paris, open between 22 September and 22 November, 2009. It is dedicated to non-western photographers little known in Europe. This year, the festival has been directed by Anahita Ghabaian Etehadieh from Iran, founder of the only photo gallery in her country.
